Afton, TN, July 19, 2011 – Delfasco, LLC has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Army for the ongoing supply of ammunition containers. The containers, one of Delfasco's top-of-the-line products, will facilitate the shipping and storage of the M231A and the M232 charges as part of the Army's Modular Artillery Charge System. Production for the $6.9 million contract will be conducted in the company's hometown of Afton, Tennessee.
When asked about the contract, Delfasco Vice President Jack Monoker said, "We are excited to supply the U.S. Armed Forces with another quality product in support of their efforts to defend our country, and we look forward to future opportunities to reinforce our relationship with our brave defenders." The contract, which was awarded through the United States Army Contracting Command Rock Island Contracting Center, will extend through a five-year ordering period with an option to extend the contract an additional five years.
